The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET Exam on behalf of UGC. This National Eligibility Test is conducted twice a year by NTA.

NTA NET Eligibility Criteria – Know Are You Eligible or Not for the Exam

  • You should have completed master’s degree or pursuing in the final year of postgraduation.
  • You must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks in postgraduation to become eligible for the exam.
  • There is 5% relaxation for all the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Transgenders).
  • 30 years is the maximum age limit to apply for UGC NET JRF.
  • There is no age limit for those who want to apply for UGC NET Assistant Professor.
  • Age relaxation for reserved categories is also available.

UGC NET Application Procedure – Know How to Apply for the Exam!

There are some simple steps that need to be followed to register yourself for the NTA UGC NET Exam.

Step 1 –

Firstly, you need to follow the official website of NTA UGC NET and then find the apply online link.

Step 2 –

After clicking on the UGC NET Apply Online Link you will have to fill the UGC NET Registration Form. You need to submit your basic details to register yourself. Once the details filled, you can submit and move to the further application process.

Step 3 –

After registration fill step by step following details in form –

  • Exam details like Subject, Role, Centre etc.
  • Education Qualification
  • Mail Address
  • Permanent Address

After filling up this information, you should generate a password that will be helpful for further login.

Step – 4 

Now you will be required to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the specified dimensions.

Step – 5

In the very next step, you will have to submit the required Fee as per your category. The fee can be paid through online mode only.

After completing the UGC NET Application Process by paying the fee you must take the printout of the form for further use.
